Omelet in the morning, meatballs in the afternoon – this was the main diet of schoolchildren several decades ago.
Many can say with confidence that those cutlets for some reason were tastier than homemade. Although it is clear that they put a lot more minced meat at home.
Stubbornness – black bread. It, together with the crust, was put through a meat grinder and added to the minced meat. At least that’s what the cooks who worked at the school say. The average ratios were as follows: half a kilogram of bread per kilogram of minced meat.

- 1 kg of minced pork;
- 0.5 loaf of black bread;
- 1 onion;
- 1 egg;
- 150 ml of milk;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- salt pepper.
How to cook:
- Soak bread with a crust in milk, pass through a meat grinder.
- Add chopped onion, garlic, soared bread, egg, salt and pepper to the minced meat. Break off the mixture.
- Cutlets form, roll in bread.
- Fry until tender, serve with mashed potatoes.
And after the cutlets, you can eat the Shkolnoye cake with jam and sugar fudge. It is easy to make at home.
