How to cook squash for dinner for the whole family – find out in the UNIAN material.

Patissons are plants from the gourd family, which taste a bit like zucchini and, in fact, pumpkin. UNIAN will tell you how to cook squash for dinner or lunch to make it delicious.

Squash with cheese and sugar in the oven

  • Squash – 700 g
  • Sour cream – 200 ml
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Green onion (or fresh dill) – 20 g
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Heat the oven to 180 °C. Wash and chop the green onion, also wash the squash, cut into slices. In a bowl, mix sour cream and egg, salt, mix whisks and add green onions. Mix again and grate hard cheese.

Grease the baking dish with butter, lay out the squash, pour it with sour cream and egg mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 180°C.

Squash stuffed with meat and rice in the oven

  • Squash – 6-8 pcs.
  • Cooked rice – 300 g
  • Minced meat (mixed) – 500 g
  • Butter – 1 tbsp. l
  • Salt
  • Piper
  • Curry or other spices
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Parsley and dill greens – 2 tbsp. l
  • Hard cheese – 75 g

Wash the squash, cut it in half and scoop out the middle with a teaspoon. On the back of the vegetable, cut off the rib a little so that the “boats” are more stable. Fry the minced meat, finely chopped onions and grated carrots in a pan until soft. Salt, pepper, add herbs and spices, mix.

Fill vegetable boats with mixed meat, put on a greased baking sheet or in a baking dish and cook in the oven for 50 minutes at 200 ° C. After this time, take out the patissons, sprinkle them with grated cheese and put them back in the oven for 10 minutes.

Fried squash with garlic

  • Squash – 3 pcs
  • Salt – to taste
  • More – 3-4 tbsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Greens – to be allowed
  • Sour cream or mayonnaise – 4 tbsp

Wash the patissons, cut into circles, salt and roll in flour. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, put the vegetables and fry them until golden brown. Pass the garlic through a press, finely chop the greens, mix them with sugar (mayonnaise). Serve fried squash with sauce.

Vegetable stew without meat with squash

  • Potatoes – 4 pcs.
  • Squash – 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian red pepper – 1 pc.
  • tomatoes – 2 pcs.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp
  • Ground black pepper – on the tip of a knife
  • Ground smoked paprika – 1/4 tsp
  • Curry ground – 1/4 tsp
  • Water – 125 ml
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. l

Onion and carrots, wash, cut into cubes, and then fry in vegetable oil for 5 minutes. Wash squash, cut into cubes and add to the vegetables. Do the same with peppers and potatoes. Then pour in water, add salt and black pepper, bring the contents to a boil, cover and cook for 15 minutes over medium heat.

Remove the skin from the tomatoes, cut into cubes and put in a pan with the rest of the vegetables, add curry and paprika. Mix everything and after the dish boils, cook it for another 10 minutes.
