Jellied pie is a dish that is ideal for both dinner and a snack. It turns out lush, satisfying and does not need much time to cook, and its filling can be very diverse, depending on preferences.

Jellied meat pie with kefir


  • Kefir (2.5% fat) – 2 stacks;
  • wheat flour – 2 stacks;
  • Chicken eggs – 3 large or 4 small;
  • Sugar – 1.5 tsp;
  • Salt – 1 tsp;
  • Baking soda – 1.5 tsp;

To fill in:

  • Minced meat (pork, pork and beef) – 500 g;
  • onion – 200 g;
  • Dill (or other greens to taste) – 5 g;
  • Garlic – 1 clove;
  • Basil – 0.5 tsp;
  • Ground black pepper – to taste;
  • Salt – to taste;
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 1.5 tbsp. l.
  • You should also take 1 tsp. sunflower oil for greasing the mold and the same amount of butter for greasing the cake (optional).

Cooking method:

First you need to prepare the filling. Peel the onion, wash and chop finely. Heat refined vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion in it for a few minutes until it becomes soft. Then put the minced meat in the pan, knead it with a wooden spatula and fry over medium heat. Salt, pepper, add dried basil or other herbs suitable for meat. For taste, add a crushed garlic clove. It takes about 4-5 minutes to fry the minced meat until the liquid evaporates. But do not overload, because then the minced meat will be dry.

While the stuffing is being cooked, you can make the dough. Sift the flour to saturate it with oxygen and get a beautiful cake at the exit. Beat eggs in a container, add salt, sugar. Beat the eggs with a fork or whisk until smooth. Add kefir to the egg mass and beat well again. In a separate bowl, mix the sifted flour and soda, mix everything well. Next, pour the egg-kefir mixture into the flour and mix thoroughly until all the flour is incorporated. The dough is ready.

Grease a mold made of metal, ceramic or heat-resistant glass with vegetable or butter. If the form is silicone, then it is not necessary to lubricate it. Pour half of the dough, smooth with a spoon, and spread the minced meat on top. Sprinkle with chopped dill or other herbs. Pour the minced meat with the second half of the dough and send it to the oven at 180 degrees for 35-45 minutes. The time depends on the characteristics of the oven. You can check the readiness with a wooden toothpick or skewer by piercing the dough. When they are dry, without sticky mass, the cake is ready.

Remove the cake and, if you wish, grease the surface with a piece of butter. When it cools, cut it into parts.
