Meatloaf or Meatloaf is a very popular dish in Western Europe. It is usually made from ground beef or pork, often wrapped in bacon, and often stuffed with boiled eggs. Such a dish is traditionally prepared for Easter, because it literally includes all the ingredients that are prohibited by the fasting of the pre-holiday.
- 700 g minced beef or pork
- 220 g of bacon
- 100 g cheddar, grated
- 5 pieces. eggs
- 1 onion, peeled, chopped
- 50 g chopped parsley
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Hold 4 eggs for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, cumin, salt, pepper, cheddar cheese and one egg. Mix well and leave in the refrigerator for an hour.
Place the bacon slices in a shape (round with a hole in the middle or rectangular), slightly overlapping each other. Pour a third of the meat mixture into the dish, spreading the mixture evenly. Place the scrambled eggs in the mold and cover them with the remaining minced meat.
Increase the temperature in the oven to 250 °C and bake the roll for about 40 minutes.
After cooling, turn the mold over, remove the roll, cut and serve.
