  • bacon – 60 g;

  • Greens – to be allowed.

Cooking method:

Larger eggs and smoked bacon are best suited for this dish. Cut bacon into thin slices. You can also use ready-made cuts. To taste, you can cut each plate into smaller pieces.

Heat a frying pan and put the slices of bacon on it. Fry them for about 3 minutes on both sides until golden brown. When the fat starts to splutter, reduce the heat.

Push the bacon to the side with a spatula and carefully crack the eggs into the center of the pan, leaving the yolks intact. Fry the eggs over medium heat for 5 minutes. The yolk should be semi-liquid.

Shakshuka (Israeli scrambled eggs with tomatoes)

Ingredients:

  • eggs – 5 pcs.;
  • onions – ½ pc.;
  • Garlic – 1 clove;
  • sweet pepper – 1 pc;
  • tomatoes – 4 pcs.;
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp. l;
  • Ground cumin – 1 tsp;
  • paprika – 1 tsp;
  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp;
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch;
  • Sugar – a pinch;
  • Salt – to taste;
  • Chopped parsley – to allow.

Cooking method:

Heat olive oil in a deep frying pan. Add the onion, sauté until translucent, add the garlic and simmer for another minute or two.

Add chopped paprika and cook for another 5-7 minutes, then throw tomatoes and tomato paste into the pan and mix. Now season with herbs and sugar. Mix again and cook for 5-7 minutes. Salt pepper.

Then, one by one, release eggs into the pan, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes. During this time the sauce will evaporate a little. But you have to make sure that it doesn’t evaporate completely, otherwise the shakshuka will burn.
