Eating delicious, fast and cheap is everyone’s dream, but what would you cook? In this article, we, together with a nutritionist Elena Doronkina Let’s present five democratic dishes that are not inferior in taste to restaurants.
This recipe does not cost a lot of money, and the ingredients will not force you to run to the store, everyone has them at home.
The dish turns out tasty, satisfying, and most importantly, healthy.
- potatoes – 2 pcs.;
- onions – 2 pcs.;
- salt to taste;
- bay leaf – 1 pc.;
- sour cream – 100 g.
We take a pan (about 3 liters in volume), fill it with water for three quarters. Bring water to a boil, salt. Add the peeled, diced potatoes to the boiling water. Also add the bay leaf, previously washed. When the potatoes become soft, the dish is ready. Pour the soup into bowls and add a handful of onions to each. When serving, add a tablespoon of sour cream to the soup and mix well. You can decorate the dish with parsley or other greens (optional).
Elena: This soup will be especially useful for those who control their weight and are on a diet. It will help to quickly assimilate useful substances in the body, it is absolutely non-caloric and has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract. If you have symptoms of a cold, it can relieve them, and it can also increase the body’s defenses. Eating soup is necessary to maintain a healthy intestinal microflora, because the dietary fiber in it improves the production of gastric juice.
Tasty, quick ravioli like in a restaurant, even better. The recipe is simple and cheap.
- flour – 200 g;
- egg – 2 pcs.;
- olive oil – 1 tbsp. a spoon;
- salt – 2 pinches;
- meat – 250 g;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- salt, spices to taste.
Sift the flour into a deep bowl, make a well, break the eggs into it, add salt and a spoonful of butter.
Knead the stiff dough, it should become smooth and elastic. We put the finished dough in a bag and let it rest for 30-40 minutes. We turn the meat through a meat grinder, add finely chopped onion, salt, spices, a few tablespoons of water, mix well.
We divide the tea into 4 equal parts, roll out one very thinly, about 1 millimeter. Scoop the minced meat with a teaspoon and spread evenly over the dough. We roll out the second sheet of dough and cover the first sheet with mixed meat, pressing the dough gently with the edge of the palm to form the contours of ravioli. Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into squares, press the edges of the squares with a fork to secure. Bring the water to a boil in a pan, add salt, throw in the ravioli and cook for 5-7 minutes. We serve ready-made ravioli at the table with butter and spices (optional).
Elena: Tasty and easy to prepare, ravioli is a dish that will make you feel full for a long time, it is very suitable for those who plan to take a long break from eating during the day. The most important thing is not to go too far and not to overdo it because of the calorie content. If possible, add more vegetables and herbs to the dish for better absorption. But for those who suffer from diseases of the kidneys, gallbladder and pancreas, it is better not to use it.

- chicken – 1.5 kg;
- onion – 1 kg;
- tomatoes – 1 kg;
- garlic (to taste);

Cut the chicken into pieces and fry until crispy in a dry frying pan with a thick bottom. Salt, add a little oil and onion. After 5 minutes, add the tomatoes, simmer over low heat under the lid for half an hour.
5-10 minutes before ready, add garlic, spices, herbs.

Beetroot with cheese
A quick, colorful appetizer served in a restaurant. The recipe is very tasty, quick and from budget ingredients.
- beets – 1 pc.;
- mixture of salad leaves – 50 g;
- cheese or hard cheese – 60 g;
- Provence herbs – 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
- balsamic vinegar sauce – 1-2 teaspoons.
My beets, cut off the tail, put in a sleeve for baking and tie the ends of the sleeve. We bake in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for approximately 1.5 hours. We cool the finished beets, clean, cut into small plates. We spread the mixture of salad leaves on a plate, poured over the sauce, salt. Add beets to salad.
Cheese or cheese cut into cubes, roll in Provence herbs, add to the salad. You can add nuts (to taste).

- flour – 150 g;
- vegetable oil – half a glass;
- baking powder dough – 10 g;
- vanillin – 1 g.
In a deep bowl combine eggs, sugar, milk, butter, baking powder and vanilla, mix well. Gradually add flour, mixing thoroughly so that no lumps remain. Grease the baking form with butter and pour the finished dough. On top, you can add a little berry jam (to taste). Bake the cake until golden brown at 180 degrees. Carefully remove the finished product from the mold, decorate with powdered sugar if you want.
